Old photos in home archives wear out, deteriorate,crumple, images fade - they show numerous signs of the passage of time. The Echa project focuses onconsidering the archive of tomorrow, mainly composedof digital files. The possible results of further „life” of digital files, their wear and tear. For this purpose,by selecting old family photos, which I have very few, I processed them in a file code tampering program so that errors would occur in the image. In additionto the image layer itself, I also focused on the subject of processed photographs. They were real childhood photos mixed with photomontages never taken and unregistered journeys. Create a family photo archive that I never had. In this way, I explore the possibilities of photo manipulation, the relationship between photography and memory - both in the context of human memory and recording on a digital medium.
